I wish to come to England to Referee but I am from a foreign county, what do I do?

Thank you for your email to join the FA as a referee, you will need a FAN number which you can register for below:

https://www.thefa.com/account/signup

Once you have done this, please KEEP THIS NUMBER as it will be used for everything going forward including submitting yellow cards, red cards and misconduct reports.

Please confirm your date of birth as this is essential for us to process the application for you to join from abroad.

Please send us a letter from your FA (the country you are joining from) explaining when you trained as a referee AND the games that you have refereed whilst there.

Following this, all referees who complete the course in England complete a ‘Safeguarding Children’s Course’, so please book onto this below:

https://learn.englandfootball.com/courses/safeguarding/safeguarding-children-course

If our courses do not work for you --> please try  Middlesex FA | Surrey FA | Kent FA | Amateur FA

If you wish to referee youth football (any under 18s football) you will need a DBS, so please click here to apply for one and select the volunteer fee.

For any more information, please email refereeing@londonfa.com.
